Around the measuring springs a constant
high-frequency field is build-up, which allows
thousands of measurements, taken per sec., on
the material to be measured. Thus a very accurate
measuring result is assured. The measured value
will be indicated in a few seconds after the
measuring spings have contact with the material
to be measured.
Which timber can be measured?
All together 18 (eightteen) selectable woodgroups
means a much better adjustment to the different types
of wood according to the density / cubic meter
(beginning from 100 kg up to 950 kg).
More then 240 local types of timber as well as exotic types of timber are divided into the wood-groups.
Beginning with a great number of softwood, such as spruce, fir, poplar etc.(woodgroup H2) up to european and exotic hardwood, such as quebracho, ebony and azobe (woodgroup H10).
The tolerance (correct application) is +/- 1%.
The measuring range: 3% - 80% wood moisture.
The max. measuring depth for measurements taken on timber is 100 mm.
The unit is equipped with a special HOLD function.
This HOLD function allows to store the measured value on the display.
Why does one need the HOLD function?
Very often it happens that the measured and displayed value can’t be read directly. E.g. during measurements taken inside of a wooden pile, inside the drying kiln or at the bottom of a wooden board / beam.
This special function is then very useful.
A build in BUZZER indicates a specified limit-value
If the measured value goes higher than a specified limit-value, the buzzer will beep.
This function is very helpful for fast timber selection.
